BBQ BAKED BEANS
-
1 small sweet onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons G Hughes Original BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons G Hughes Ketchup
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cans baked beans
-
Step 1:Bring your oven to 400°F to preheat.
Step 2:Warm up a large skillet over medium-low heat—go with an oven-safe one if you want to save a dish later! Add your diced onion, pepper, and garlic. Give them a stir every now and then for about 5 minutes, or until they’re nice and soft.
Step 3: Add paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook for 1–2 minutes. Stir in vinegar, G Hughes BBQ, G Hughes Ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Mix in the canned baked beans, bring to a boil, and kill the heat.
Step 4:Pop the skillet right into the oven (or transfer everything into a baking dish first). Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, keeping an eye out for a perfectly bubbly, syrupy finish. Let it cool down for a few minutes before letting the family dive in!
